Moxibustion
What is Moxibustion?
From around 34 weeks we can start to use Moxibustion to help turn a breech baby, a safe, non-invasive procedure.
Moxa sticks are made from the leaves of a plant called Artemisia argyi and used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to stimulate acupuncture points. The sticks I use produce minimal smoke and smell. The lit moxa stick is held next to acupuncture point BL-67 which can trigger fetal movements and relax the uterus to allow the baby to turn head down.
I teach you how to perform moxibustion on yourself and send you home with everything you need to continue for a full 10 days. It can be performed alongside an ECV, even on the same day.
Contraindications apply.
